ACT & SAT Testing

The ACT and SAT are the two admission tests used by most colleges and universities in the United States. Most post secondary institutions require prospective students to take one of these exams. The majority of colleges will accept the results from either of these tests, but it is always a good idea to check with specific colleges or universities about test preferences or requirements.

The ACT and SAT are traditionally taken by Juniors. Ronan High School administers the ACT for free to all Juniors in the month of April. However, both the ACT and SAT are offered year round, for a fee, at locations around the state. Students may retake the tests a number of times if unhappy with their scores.

ACT Updates

RHS will have the ability to administer the ACT to seniors on October 6, 2020, with a makeup date on October 20, 2020. This will replace Spring 2020 testing for juniors.

This is the only opportunity these students will have to take the ACT free of charge.  Students wishing to take the test on an alternative date may do so by registering with ACT at www.actstudent.org/start.

Ronan High School Code: 270750

SAT Updates

College Board SAT

SAT CollegBoard has added a new SAT administration for Saturday, September 26, 2020. This date will be for the SAT only, in the United States and internationally, with no SAT Subject Tests™ available. Sunday testing for religious reasons will be on September 27.

Registration for the 2020-21 SAT administrations will open the week of May 26. At that point, June registrants will be able to transfer their seat to a 2020-21 administration. All other students in the high school class of 2021 who don't have SAT scores will also have early access to register for the August, September, and October administrations. This includes students who had registered for March or May and had their registrations canceled and refunded. For each administration this year, we're also preparing to significantly expand our capacity.
